RA Healthcare Ministry  dispatched specialist to Tehran to  ensure a proper surveillance of air passengers returning from Iran

The specialist from the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention  of the Ministry of Healthcare of Armenia left for to Tehran  to ensure a  proper surveillance of air passengers returning from Iran. Minister  of Healthcare of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Torosyan wrote about  this on his Facebook page.

According to him, the specialist will check the passengers at the  time of boarding, instructing them to use protective means and  conveying information to us on the appropriate surveillance measures  in Yerevan.  In case of the absence of complaints, patients will be  under home observation; those having complaints will be tested - and  hospitalized upon necessity," the minister wrote.

He also recalled that, in accordance with the government's decision  to restrict the Iran-Armenia border crossing, which entered into  force yesterday, all trucks arriving from the Meghri checkpoint are  accompanied by specialists and police. Iranian citizens are subject  to supervision throughout Armenia, including the customs warehouses  of the State Revenue Committee. Armenian citizens are controlled by  place of residence. 

It should be noted that "Armenia Airways" will operate two flights  this week, giving citizens of Armenia and Iran the opportunity to  return to their homeland. According to the Ministry of Foreign  Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, 35 citizens of the Republic of  Armenia are registered in the consular section of the Armenian  Embassy in Iran. 

Meanwhile, according to RBC, the number of people infected with the  novel coronavirus exceeded 80 thousand people, more than 2.7 thousand  died. According to the National Health Commission of China, 78,064  confirmed cases have been reported in the country. Given the new  infections, the number of infected in all countries, according to  SCMP, is 81,005 people.  According to the WHO, as of February 25, a  total of 80,239 people were infected (of which in mainland China -  77,780, 2,666 patients died). Outside of Mainland China, 3359  confirmed cases of infection and 34 deaths were recorded in 33  countries and territories around the world.  According to RIA  Novosti, 7 people have been hospitalized in Azerbaijan on suspicions  of having the novel coronavirus.
