ArmInfo. Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan has not yet decided whether he will participate in the campaign for constitutional referendum or not. Badasyan said this on February 25 in an interview with reporters.
Regarding the work of the constitutional reform commission, Badasyan stated that the members of the commission will discuss all possible proposals, after which they will submit a report to the Prime Minister. "We, all members of the commission agreed to consider issues related to the work of the commission, and to reach an agreement as acceptable to all as possible," the minister emphasized.
As for the transitional justice program, the minister noted that the ministry is currently working on a specific text of the law. The project will be available soon, it will be submitted to the National Assembly.
To note, the referendum on constitutional amendments will be held on April 5. The campaign began on February 17 and will last until April 3. The draft amendments to the Constitution provides for the termination of the powers of President of the Constitutional Court Hrayr Tovmasyan and members of the court appointed before the reform of the Constitution in 2015.
