ArmInfo.Perception and approaches of the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh regarding the settlement of Artsakh isssue are identical. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on February 22, during his speech in Stepanakert at the third meeting of the Security Council.
In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Republic of Artsakh is a full participant in the negotiation process, without which it is impossible to resolve the Karabakh conflict.
''One of the cornerstones of cooperation between Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia is security, since Artsakh and Armenia are a common territory and a security environment, and here our agenda cannot be divided and differentiated in any way. In this regard, we naturally attach great importance to the combat effectiveness of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and the Artsakh Republic and the moral and psychological atmosphere that has developed in the Armed Forces, which should reach a new high level. I believe this issue can be resolved'', he said.
Pashinyan emphasized that the authorities' practical tasks include equating the authority of military service with the authority of the army itself. "Today, we will certainly discuss what steps should be taken in this direction," he stressed. In addition, at a meeting of the Security Council, according to the Prime Minister, issues of aggravation of regional security will be discussed and decisions made in this direction.
''I think that today, in the context of the geopolitical realities prevailing in the region, we must state that we have a joint responsibility not only in terms of security of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh, but also from the point of view of ensuring regional and global security. And I'm glad to state that the approaches of the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh are identical on this issue,> he said, noting that this issue is one of the most important on the agenda.
Pashinyan drew attention to the fact that nationwide elections will soon be held in Artsakh. <I believe that the elections held over the entire period of the existence of Artsakh showed a significant difference in the realities between the Republic of Artsakh and the Republic of Azerbaijan in terms of the level of democracy. This once again proves that Artsakh and Azerbaijan can never be together within the framework of a common political territory, since even 10 years ago, the level of democracy in Artsakh was incomparably higher than in a neighboring country>, the Prime Minister said.
