ArmInfo. The election of person who acts against the Armenian authorities is unacceptable to residents of Artsakh. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in an interview with the Public Television Channel stated this.
Pashinyan noted that by their actions against the current government, these persons create an environment of ethnic hatred. "I am sure that residents of Artsakh in the upcoming elections will be able to exercise their right to form their own chosen government in the NKR," the prime minister emphasized.
He noted that the results of the elections in NKR always evoked greater confidence than the elections in Armenia. "It is naive to believe that the election process in Artsakh can be dangerous. The elections in Artsakh are organized and held at a democratic level, and this is clear evidence that Artsakh is a democratic and established state. Thus, it becomes clear to everyone that it cannot be part of Azerbaijan."
The Prime Minister emphasized that the elections should become a platform on which discussions will be held related to the prospects for the development of the state. "Armenia is the guarantor of Artsakh's free will. I am confident that the NKR people should have the opportunity to express their free will, and I am convinced that the people of Artsakh will take full advantage of this opportunity," Pashinyan said.
It should be noted that the presidential and parliamentary elections in Artsakh will be held on March 31, 2020. One of the candidates for the post of president, the hero of Karabakh, Major General Vitaly Balasanyan has repeatedly demonstrated a rather tough stance towards the current authorities in Armenia.
