ArmInfo. The Armenian National Committee of America requires the US Presidential Administration to abandon the initiative to increase military assistance to Azerbaijan.
Thus, the ANCA statement available to ArmInfo notes that the Trump administration provided Baku with an additional $ 100 million of military assistance to ensure security, which is generally directed against Iran. However, the organization indicates that this assistance will help to ensure new offensive capabilities and the release of other military resources to continue the aggression of the Aliyev regime against Artsakh and Armenia.
"We are concerned that the additional funds of $ 100 million allocated by the Trump administration of Baku will allow the Azerbaijani side to replenish its arsenal of weapons with substantially new equipment, increase tactical and offensive capabilities, while freeing up state resources to resume cross-border operations against Artsakh and Armenia," ANCA Director of Government Affairs Teresa Yerimyan noted. At the same time, she expressed her conviction that such actions by the Trump administration are unacceptable, especially against the backdrop of threats that continue to sound from Baku. Yerimyan stressed that Washington should either stop sending military aid to Baku, or equalize the assistance of Armenia and Azerbaijan, thereby maintaining parity.
