ArmInfo. On February 19, a meeting was held headed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, in connection with the holding of the Armenian Yarhushta national dance festival in Armenia.
According to the press service of the government, it is planned to hold the festival in the Dashtadem community of the Talin district of the Aragatsotn region on June 13 this year. Within the framework of the festival, in particular, it is planned to organize a yarhushta contest and master classes, as well as open pavilions at which Armenian art and craft will be presented. It is also planned to allocate a separate zone where the communities of the Aragatsotn region will be able to present local traditions, culture and cuisine. Summing up the discussion, the Prime Minister noted that great importance was attached to the promotion and dissemination of cultural traditions and values of the Armenian people. According to him, the Yarhushta festival will be held every year, on the second Saturday of June. It is planned that the winners of the competition programs held as part of the festival will be awarded. According to Pashinyan, the festival may be of interest to both residents of Armenia and tourists. The Prime Minister noted the importance of holding the festival, and instructed to continue to work at the appropriate level to improve the relevant infrastructure.
