ArmInfo. Of course, personnel changes will take place in the army. On February 18, Andranik Kocharyan, head of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of RA NA, said this in a conversation with reporters.
"I believe that personnel changes are not always something negative, often, they lead to a healthier system. I can't say exactly how many people will leave their posts, but there is no doubt that personnel changes are coming," the MP emphasized.
Kocharyan noted that during the meeting of MPs with the chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Artak Davtyan, the latter presented cases of deaths of military personnel not only in February of this year, but also in all February of previous years. The MP also noted that the legislative and executive authorities, as well as the public, should support the army, since it ensures the stability of the entire security system of Armenia.
It should be noted that a joint closed meeting of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs and the Standing Committee on Defense and Security, which was attended by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Artak Davtyan, took place in the parliament on February 18.
To recall, on February 14 it became known about the death of the 13th soldier who died in the Armenian army. Almost all of these cases of deaths occurred under unclear circumstances. This fact is being vigorously debated in society, on social networks they demand the resignation of Minister of Defense David Tonoyan and Chief of the General Staff, Artak Davtyan. In connection with this situation, yesterday the Prime Minister of Armenia held a meeting with the heads of defense departments.
