ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia provided information on property damage caused by corruption offenses in 2019.
According to the source, 470 people were involved in 287 criminal cases and some materials, of which 257 were officials. The size of the caused property damage amounted to 2.923.496.731 drams, of which the amount of damage caused to state property amounted to 1.714.996.528 drams, and the damage caused to legal entities and individuals - 1.208.500.203 drams.
Out of the property damage caused, 1,222,436,026 drams were recovered, of which 944,301,563 drams fell to damage to state property, and 278,134,463 drams - to legal entities and individuals.
The amount of material damage caused in unjustifiably closed criminal cases amounted to 693 669 904 drams, of which 613 088 389 drams were compensated.
