On February 12, the Football Federation of Armenia announced the termination of the contract with the head coach of the national team of Armenia Abraham Khashmanyan by mutual agreement of the parties. Khashmanyan led the Armenian team since November 2019.
According to Armsport sources, the FFA is in negotiations with Armenian and foreign experts. And 43- year-old Solari is not only among the candidates for the post of coach of the Armenian national team, but he is a primary candidate.
Solari led Real Madrid on October 30, 2018, replacing Julen Lopetegi, head coach of the Madrid club. In the first four matches under the leadership of Solari, Real Madrid scored four victories. After that, the club management decided to sign a contract with the Argentine until the summer of 2021. With Solari, Real Madrid became the winner of the 2018 Club World Cup.
