ArmInfo. Presidential candidate, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh Masis Mayilyan ruled out a situation in which the people of Artsakh will give him a vote of confidence, while others will come to power
"The decision of the United Homeland Party to support my candidacy in the upcoming presidential elections and our political dialogue found a wide and positive response in various sectors of our society. At the same time, some forces, in a state of shock, try to stop the political dialogue that has begun, spreading false rumors with the aim of defame us, " Mayilyan said.
In addition to Mayilyan, 7 more people nominated for the post of President of Artsakh, including his main rival, former state minister Arayik Harutyunyan. Candidate registration deadline expires on February 15th. To note, leader of the United Homeland Party Samvel Babayan was unable to achieve registration of his candidacy due to the lack of residency qualification.
On his Facebook page Mayilyan notes that he considers that to answer to such persons does not do honor and is pointless. At the same time, noting the need to address certain issues of concern to society. "I declare with all responsibility that we are discussing with our allied political forces the principles and concepts of radical transformations, as well as the formats for possible parliamentary cooperation," he said.
According to Mayilyan, personnel policy is in no way part of these discussions. Accordingly, there is no agreement on future specific appointments in the government. He was advised to people who were concerned in this regard to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the Artsakh Constitution, which regulates all such issues.
