ArmInfo. The interdepartmental delegation of Armenia , established for the purpose of promoting the launch of the Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue yesterday held talks in Prague. According to the press service of the Migration Service of the Republic of Armenia, the Armenian delegation was led by head of the Service Armen Ghazaryan, and the Czech delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic Jakub Kulhanek.
Head of the Department for Shelter and Migration Policy at the Czech Ministry of Internal Affairs Pavla Novotna and Head of the Department for International Cooperation and the European Union Bohumil Hnidek, also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the the possible paths to launch the Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue, touched upon the cases of immigration of citizens of Armenia to the Czech Republic and reached an agreement on taking steps for more effective implementation of the Readmission Agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the Czech Republic.
On the same day, the Armenian delegation had a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Head of the Visa Department David Novi at the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The parties discussed several issues related to the current visa regime and talked about the current problems and the prospects for solving them.
Within the framework of the visit to Prague, an international meeting was also held, in which Tigran Samvelyan, member of the Armenian delegation, head of the European Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, met with Special Envoy of the Czech Foreign Ministry Jaroslav Kurfurst . The interlocutors exchanged views on the parties' vision and priorities on the future of the Eastern Partnership and expressed satisfaction with the broad agenda of the Armenian-Czech bilateral relations, as well as the high level of bilateral cooperation.
