ArmInfo. At a meeting with heads of print media, the former director of the National Security Service, Arthur Vanetsyan, who announced the creation of a political party, touched upon the case of the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan.
"I would not call it the case of Robert Kocharyan, we are talking about solving the case on March 1, but when we talk about the case on March 1, we understand that the priority should be to solve the murder of 10 people," he said. Vanetsyan raised the question of whether the current process helps solve these killings today, and then replied: "I think not."
"As for Kocharyan, after this statement there will be many different interpretations, but I would like to note that the preventive measure in the form of an arrest against the second president of Armenia was chosen incorrectly. After all, Kocharyan did not try to escape justice in any way. I think that it would be advisable to review the preventive measure, this would help reduce the tension that exists in certain circles, and would give an impetus to the resolution of the case, and we all want the case to be solved on March 1, "Vanetsyan concluded.
It should be noted that the second president of Armenia is accused of overthrowing the Constitutional system in the framework of the events of March 1, 2008.
