ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of Emergency Situations Feliks Tsolakyan informed that there are more than 300 dangerous landslide zones in the country. He noted that today there are several active zones in Syunik, Lori and Kotayk.
Tsolakyan emphasized that the corresponding equipment was installed in the most active zones. "From now on, the MES will carry out blasting operations, however, there are problems with clearing the territory, since we don't have heavy equipment. Unfortunately, I can't say that we can predict everything, it's not so. For example, a landslide in the area not so long ago Devil's bridge in Tatev. The reason was the abundant watering of nearby agricultural areas, "Tsolakyan emphasized.
Regarding the recent incident at the Dalma shopping center, the Minister emphasized that an earthquake call had been recorded. "However, it is obvious that an earthquake cannot occur in only one separate building. As a result, we came to the conclusion that the cause of the vibration was a malfunction of the ventilation system that is installed on the roof of the building," Tsolakyan concluded.
To note on January 9 there was information about an alleged earthquake in the Dalma shopping center. The MES of Armenia carried out the evacuation of people from the building, which was closed for 2 months.
