ArmInfo. A remote medical care system will be introduced in Armenia. Amendments to the Law <On Medical Assistance, Servicing of the Population> were approved on February 5 at a meeting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs.
According to the Deputy Minister of Health care Anahit Avanesyan, it is about providing advisory assistance in electronic format and issuing prescriptions in electronic form. She said that in 2019, as part of the pilot program, the ArMed system was launched in Armenia, in which several medical institutions of the country were involved. It is envisaged to involve all health facilities, including the pharmacy network, without exception. This measure is designed to reduce paper workflow by 80-90% and improve the quality of medical care for the population. In order to ensure system security, a backup server was introduced this year. The procedure for applying the new system will be determined by the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The lLw <On medical care, public services> was adopted in 1996, after which several amendments were made to it, as a result of which there was a need for its modernization.
