ArmInfo. Armenian citizens wishing to leave China due to a new type of coronavirus encountered difficulties in limiting flights.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, with reference to the Armenian Embassy in China, given the situation with the spread of coronavirus in China, a number of international airlines are gradually restricting flights from Beijing and other Chinese cities. In this regard, citizens located in China, before flying to the airport, need to contact specific airlines on the eve to clarify flight information.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on February 1, a group of Armenian citizens was denied registration on Ural Airlines tickets. At the same time, the registration of citizens of several other countries on this flight was denied. <The Armenian Embassy in China advised the citizens of Armenia to move to the nearest city, from where it would be possible to make a flight on other airlines to Armenia, specifying the schedule of this airline in advance.
At the same time, we inform that the embassy is constantly in touch with all the citizens of Armenia located in China and is responding to all questions>, the report says.
According to Ren TV, earlier Ural Airlines reported that, according to the order of the Russian government, since February 1, eleven flights from China have been suspended due to the spread of coronavirus. The day before, RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on his Twitter page thanked Kazakhstan for delivering an Armenian citizen from the Chinese city of Wuhan. "We continue to work closely with our partners in the face of an emergency epidemic," the minister said. Recall that in connection with the coronavirus, Armenia suspended the visa-free regime for Chinese citizens until March 31 of this year.
