I hope that I can do it personally, "Mishustin said during his speech at a meeting of the EAEU in Almaty.
And as he promised, at the end of the meeting, an award ceremony was held. Mishustin personally handed over the medal to Sargsyan.
To recall, Mishustin signed a decree on awarding Sargsyan on January 23 this year. "For merits in the development and strengthening of the Eurasian Economic Union, award the PA Stolypin Medal of the 1st degree to the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sargsyan Tigran Surenovich," the resolution reads.
The Stolypin Medal is an award of the Government of the Russian Federation, named after Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Russian Empire. It is an award for achievements in solving the strategic tasks of the country's socio-economic development, including the implementation of long-term projects of the Russian government in such areas of the national economy as industry, agriculture, construction, transport, science, education, healthcare, culture and others.
It should be noted that Tigran Sargsyan will leave the post of chairman of the EEC on February 1, 2020, and Belarus representative will take his place.
