ArmInfo. The CSTO contingent will take part in the Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was announced on January 30 during the Yerevan-Moscow-Minsk-Bishkek video bridge by head of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov.
"It was decided that 75 people will participate from each country. The contingent will be presented at the May 9 parade in Moscow," Sidorov informed.
A military parade dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be held on May 9, 2020 on Red Square. Traditionally, the Russian leadership and honored guests, including leaders of foreign states, will be present at the main rostrum of the parade. According to presidential assistant Yuri Ushakov, leaders of 17 countries, including India, Cuba, France, the Czech Republic, Venezuela, Belarus, Armenia, Moldova and Serbia, confirmed their participation in the upcoming celebrations. Delegations from 75 countries will perform military songs at one of the central concert venues in Moscow.
Moreover, in order to preserve historical memory and commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, President Vladimir Putin declared 2020 the Year of Memory and Glory in Russia. As Putin noted, the Russian Federation is preparing to adequately celebrate in May the 75th anniversary of the Victory over fascism. "A large-scale program of celebrations will be organized, in which, we hope, high representatives of many states will take part," the President of the Russian Federation said.
