ArmInfo.The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) donated 22 fire engines to the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the press service of the ministry, head of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations Feliks Tsolakyan, the Japanese ambassador to Armenia Jun Yamada, the governor of the Shirak region Tigran Petrosyan and the governor of the Lori region Andrey Ghukasyan, in particular, attended the ceremony held on January 29. Fire engines were provided as part of the JICA Project for Improvement of Fire Fighting Equipment and are intended for the technical re-equipment of rescue units in the Shirak, Lori and Syunik regions.
Last year, within the framework of the same program, JICA transferred 14 fire engines, 3 escalators and one control vehicle to the Ministry of Emergencies of Armenia.
