ArmInfo.RA President Armen Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Army Day.
According to the press service of the head of state, in his message, he noted in particular that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Second World War. "This is a victory to which our ancestors made a great contribution; a victory that more than 300 thousand sons and daughters of our people sacrificed their lives. I bow my head to the memory of our ancestors who died in World War II and express my gratitude to the veterans who not only keep their memory about victory, but their life experience and the path we walked are a living history lesson for us. Today, representatives of a new generation are serving on our borders, continuing their victorious path.
The army is close to each of us, it is our family and our pride, and thanks to it we proudly, with dignity and courage look into the eyes of our distant and close neighbors, our friends and opponents. At all times, the slogan of our volunteers, soldiers, and officers was the words - Motherland, honor, devotion. With this motto our victories were achieved, under this motto our family centers were defended, our territories were liberated, today the security and peace of Armenia and Artsakh are defended by this motto. A modern army means new thinking, new skills, better education, new technologies, modern industry - including military, modern agriculture, food safety, in a word - a new economy. The Armenian army every day gives us a sense of peace and security. "
