ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan considers issue of organization of mutual visits of relatives of war prisoners as a result of Karabakh conflict sensitive.
So, on January 23 in Yerevan at a joint press conference with Dutch Foreign Minister Stef Blok, answering the corresponding question, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan noted that he hopes for the possibility of finding formats for organizing such steps.
<These are humanitarian steps, a humanitarian initiative, and in addition, an important detail in the context of trust. In addition, this is a very sensitive issue, since the people in question, one of them, is guilty of murder. An equally painful question is our compatriots who find themselves in such a situation. We will continue to search for solutions. This is quite complicated. The format of the organization of visits is a humanitarian step, we will continue to think and seek solutions. For me, one of the most important issues is the return of our compatriots to Armenia>, the Foreign Minister concluded.
To recall, at present, three captured Armenians are kept in Baku. There are no Azerbaijani prisoners in Armenia, but two Azerbaijani citizens are in Stepanakert, where they are serving sentences for especially serious crimes.
