ArmInfo. On January 22, Deputy Prosecutor General Armen Harutyunyan received the Head of Unit for Regional Programmes of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Vassilis Maragos and the head of the EU delegation to Armenia Andrea Victorin.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, Harutyunyan noted the importance of implementing strategic reforms in Armenia, fixed in the framework of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.
Andrea Victorin, in turn, praised the steps taken to implement reforms in the judicial system of Armenia. Victorin noted that the EU is ready to assist the RA in these reforms, including financially. Vassilis Maragos noted that the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia is actively involved in the process of reforming the judicial system.
During the meeting, prospects for implementing programs aimed at developing the capacity of the prosecutor's office as part of judicial reforms were discussed.
