ArmInfo. 10 types of state awards will be introduced in Armenia. At its meeting on January 20, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia discusses the draft law "On State Bonuses" in first reading.
As the First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Rafik Grigoryan, noted in his speech, at first this issue was decided by presidential decrees, and then by government decisions. Now it is proposed to resolve the problem at the legislative level. The document stipulates that the selection of applicants will be carried out by special commissions of 9 people, whose members will be determined by a decision of the government, and in the case of awards in the field of high technology - a competition committee of 9 people as well. The government will set a date for the award. In addition to the awards, cash prizes will be determined. Both awards and cash prizes will be awarded by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. State bonuses will be financed from the state budget and other sources not prohibited by law.
As Rafik Grigoryan noted, the bill establishes 10 state prizes of the Republic of Armenia: 1) State Prize of the Republic Armenia in the field of literature and journalism; 2) The State Prize of the Republic of Armenia in the field of music and performing arts; 3) The State Prize of the Republic of Armenia in the field of fine arts; 4) The State Prize of the Republic of Armenia in the field of theatrical art; 5) State Prize of the Republic of Armenia in the field of cinema; 6) State Prize of the Republic of Armenia in the field of architecture and urban planning; 7) State Prize of the Republic of Armenia in the field of exact and natural sciences; 8) State Prize of the Republic of Armenia in the field of humanities and social sciences; 9) The State International Scientific Prize of the Republic of Armenia named after The national hero of Armenia, academician Victor Hambardzumyan in the field of astrophysics, as well as related fields - physics, mathematics; 10) State Prize of the Republic of Armenia for worldwide contribution to the field of high technology.
