ArmInfo. "There was no and there is no cooperation between me and the former head of the National Security Service Arthur Vanetsyan," the head of the Prosperous Armenia faction Gagik Tsarukyan stated in an interview with reporters on January 20.
He noted that the absence of any cooperation with the PAP was also announced by Arthur Vanetsyan himself.
As for whether the deputy is afraid that Arthur Vanetsyan, having formed an opposition force, may "pick up" the votes of Tsarukyan in the future, the latter said that he has nothing to fear. "I don't understand what it means to take votes. Let Vanetsyan present his program to the public, after which our compatriots will decide who to cast their votes for," the deputy concluded.
It should be noted that the former head of the NSS, Arthur Vanetsyan, noted that he did not rule out his return to politics as an opposition figure.
Recall that on September 16, 2019, Vanetsyan resigned from the post of head of the National Security Servicel of Armenia. The ex-head of the NSS himself, commenting on his resignation, wrote on Facebook, in particular, that "spontaneous decisions, sweeping actions, the absence of differences between the primary and secondary are not the way that leads to the achievement of goals." After his resignation, the former head of the SNB several times noted that there are a number of factors threatening the country's security.
