Armenian Ombudsman: Manvel Grigoryan`s condition worsened on the day  of release from custody

ArmInfo. On the day of his release from arrest, the condition of the former chairman of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, General Manvel Grigoryan, worsened.  Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan stated this on January 17 at a  meeting with reporters.

He noted that the issue of Grigoryan's health is in the spotlight of  the Ombudsman of Armenia. "Today, Grigoryan continues to be in the  hospital, that is, his release has not actually changed anything.  Recently, we have been in touch with his lawyers and doctors.  However, his condition worsened, after which I made two statements  that the general's condition stably heavy. We came to this conclusion  on the basis of the study of the relevant documents, "Tatoyan  emphasized.

Human Rights Defender, stressed that he will continue to monitor this  issue. "As you know, a court decision is made by a court, and the  ombudsman has no right to intervene. However, based on a complaint  from lawyers, we continue to keep this issue in the spotlight and, if  necessary, make a statement," the ombudsman concluded. It should be  noted that on January 15 the court of general jurisdiction changed  the preventive measure against ex-deputy, general, former chairman of  the Yerkrap Volunteer Union Manvel Grigoryan from arrest to  recognizance not to leave.

To recall, Manvel Grigoryan is accused of illegal possession of  weapons and ammunition in a preliminary conspiracy with his wife  Nazik Amiryan, son Arman Grigoryan.
