As ArmInfo was informed in the press service of the President of the Republic of Armenia, pointing out the importance of recent fruitful meetings and discussions, the interlocutors discussed the process of implementing the agreements reached. The parties noted with satisfaction that the Armenian-Serbian relations are progressing step by step, and a visa-free regime is already in effect for the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, which was agreed upon during the official visit of Armen Sargsyan to Serbia. The Prime Minister of Serbia informed that the embassy of the Republic of Serbia will open in Yerevan at the end of February. It was noted that there are important steps made towards strengthening relations between the two countries.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the next agreement on holding the Armenian Sevan Startup festival in parallel with the EXIT music festival held annually in the Serbian city of Novi Sad. The President of Armenia and the Prime Minister of Serbia also discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation. Noting that environmental issues and green technologies are very important for both Armenia and Serbia, President Sargsyan said that countries can cooperate in this area. The parties emphasized the great potential of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of information and high technologies, artificial intelligence. In this context, they discussed the possibilities of cooperation within the framework of the presidential initiative ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow).
