ArmInfo. The police revealed the unlawful alienation of the building by officials of the State Property Office. The Armenian police confirmed this information.
Evidence was obtained that, as part of the process of alienating the building at 41 Israelyan Street in Yerevan, the above-mentioned persons compiled groundless documents. In addition, the Agency for the Inventory and Valuation of State Property, in just one day: January 30, 2018, carried out an assessment of the mentioned building, incomparably lower than the real value: only 259 million drams. After that, on March 15, on the basis of a government decision, an agreement was concluded on the alienation of state property. The building was sold for 216 million to one company, which two days after the purchase mortgaged it in the bank for 539 million drams, thereby causing significant damage to the state.
A criminal case was opened on the fact of the crime; investigation is underway.
It should be noted that in 2018, the head of the State Property Department under the Government of the Republic of Armenia was the son of Galust Sahakyan, the former Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia.
