ArmInfo. Former Secretary of the Artsakh National Security Council, Artsakh hero Vitaly Balasanyan criticized the authorities' approaches to the resolution of the Karabakh conflict.
In a statement, Balasanyan, in particular, states: "Approach of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict actually serves the national and state interests of Azerbaijan. This was manifested by a statement dated December 10 by the Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, MP from the My Step faction Hovhannes Igityan, who noted that Pashinyan is not against the fact that the representatives of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh be present with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in the negotiations on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
Artsakh authorities have repeatedly publicly opposed the wishes of the OSCE Minsk Group and the Azerbaijani authorities to include them in a negotiating format.
"If an attempt is made by the states involved in the negotiation process, including Armenia, to involve representatives of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh in the negotiations, then this will become one of the biggest threats and dangers during the existence of the Artsakh Republic," said the Balasanyan's statement, distributed by his office, reads.
