ArmInfo. On December 4, a meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov was held in Bratislava with the mediation of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
As reported by ArmInfo in the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of measures to strengthen the ceasefire and confidence atmosphere, as well as plans to continue joint work at the beginning of next year, were discussed.
At the meeting, Mnatsakanyan emphasized the importance of the modest results achieved in preparing the peoples for peace through the implementation of a program for the exchange of journalists between Armenia, Artsakh and Azerbaijan. In this context, the possibilities of continuing such events through direct contacts between journalists and societies were considered.
Touching upon his meeting with Artsakh Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan in Yerevan, Mnatsakanyan once again pointed out the need to directly involve official Stepanakert in the negotiation process, especially on substantive issues of a comprehensive settlement.
