Earlier, the Mayor issued a statement that the Multi Group company carries out the illegal construction of a multi-story hotelat at the Abovyan-5 street , while the permit issued concerns a one-story building. In response to this, Tsarukyan, in an interview with reporters, said that on April 18 of this year, Marutyan personally signed the architectural and planning assignment (APZ), which concerns an 11-story hotel with the right to continue the constraction in its back. In this regard, the politician did not fail to declare that the Mayor's Office is not a theater, and urged Marutyan to fulfill his promises.
On December 4, the press secretary of Yerevan Mayor Hakob Karapetyan at a meeting with the media recalled Gagik Tsarukyan's direct relationship to the Multi Group. He further informed that the permission to build a multi-storey hotel was signed on February 16, 2018 by then Mayor Taron Markaryan. Meanwhile, only three days after that, on February 19, the Administrative Court accepted the case of one citizen against the Multi Group, as a result of which the building permit, by force of law, was frozen.

According to him, in April 2019, the Mayor's Office, with some changes, reaffirmed the fact of the issue of the refinery. <The Municipality is interested in the absence of unfinished buildings in the city center. However, a new building permit was not issued, and without it, the implementation of construction work is illegal>, he stressed.
