Nikol Pashinyan: Armenia will strongly support Artsakh authorities

Armenia will strongly support Artsakh authorities.  The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan wrote about this on his Facebook  page.  "Yesterday, we had a meeting with Artsakh President Bako  Sahakyan, with leaders who nominated themselves for the presidential  election.

In particular, the leaders of the Artsakh Democratic Party,  Speaker of the National Assembly Ashot Gulyan, Foreign Minister Masis  Mayilyan and party leader took part in the meeting. "Free Motherland"  Araik Harutyunyan. The meeting was also attended by the  representative of the ARF Central Committee "Dashnaktsutyun", a  member of the ARF faction of the National Assembly of the Artsakh  Republic, David Ishkhanyan, "the head of the Armenian government  wrote.

He also stressed that the meeting dealt with the organization of  presidential and parliamentary elections in Artsakh and the political  situation in Artsakh. "I also touched on the settlement process the  Karabakh conflict, work in the direction of building the army,  reaffirming its position that holding free, fair, transparent and  relevant presidential and parliamentary elections in Artsakh is  extremely important, "said Nikol Pashinyan.

Recall that in 2020, in accordance with the new Constitution,  presidential and parliamentary elections will be held in Artsakh.  Among the candidates for participation in the presidential election  are the former NKR State Minister, the head of the Free Homeland  Party Araik Harutyunyan, the Artsakh Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan,  the ex-Minister of Defense, the hero of Artsakh Samvel Babayan. At  the same time, the current President of Artsakh, Bako Sahakyan, said  in June last year that he would not participate in the 2020  elections.
