Peskov: Pause in Armenian-Russian relations ended

ArmInfo. After the change of power, a lot of time passed and the pause in the Armenian-Russian relations was filled. This was stated by spokesman for Russian  President Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov on the sidelines of the CSTO  summit in Kyrgyzstan, Sputnik-Armenia reports.

According to Peskov, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and  Russian President Vladimir Putin established working constructive  relations, noting that relations are developing, as it should be  between the two countries.

Touching upon the arrest of the second president of Armenia Robert  Kocharian, Peskov assured that this circumstance does not in any way  interfere with Putin's relations with Pashinyan. <I can tell you one  thing, on his last visit, Putin met with the wife of the second  president. They maintain relations, since Putin and Kocharyan are  united by friendly relations>, - said Peskov.

Recall, the second president of Armenia Robert Kocharian is accused  of overthrowing the constitutional order in the framework of the  criminal case on the dispersal of protests on March 1, 2008. The  ex-president of Armenia was arrested twice in 2018. On June 25, 2019,  he was arrested for the third time.
