ArmInfo. After the change of power, a lot of time passed and the pause in the Armenian-Russian relations was filled. This was stated by spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov on the sidelines of the CSTO summit in Kyrgyzstan, Sputnik-Armenia reports.
According to Peskov, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin established working constructive relations, noting that relations are developing, as it should be between the two countries.
Touching upon the arrest of the second president of Armenia Robert Kocharian, Peskov assured that this circumstance does not in any way interfere with Putin's relations with Pashinyan. <I can tell you one thing, on his last visit, Putin met with the wife of the second president. They maintain relations, since Putin and Kocharyan are united by friendly relations>, - said Peskov.
Recall, the second president of Armenia Robert Kocharian is accused of overthrowing the constitutional order in the framework of the criminal case on the dispersal of protests on March 1, 2008. The ex-president of Armenia was arrested twice in 2018. On June 25, 2019, he was arrested for the third time.
