ArmInfo.The OSCE is an important partner for Armenia not only in terms of bilateral cooperation, but also in the context of the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting with the Chairman of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Georgy Tsereteli.
According to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of cooperation within the framework of the OSCE PA and noted that this is a good platform for developing dialogue. The Head of Government expressed hope that the OSCE will continue its consistent work in the field of conflict resolution and the formation of an atmosphere of mutual trust in the region, and presented the position and opinion of the Armenian government on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Georgy Tsereteli praised the active participation of the parliamentary delegation of Armenia in the work of the OSCE PA. He welcomed the reforms implemented in Armenia, including in the judicial sphere, electoral processes, the protection of human rights, the strengthening of freedom of speech and in other areas. Touching upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Chairperson of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly reaffirmed the position of the organization headed by him in achieving a peaceful settlement and emphasized the need to create an atmosphere conducive to peace.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on other issues of international and regional importance.
