A group of volunteers participating in the Armenian liberation war  forms a militia

A group of volunteers participating in the Armenian Liberation War announced the creation of a voluntary organization called "Volunteer Movement", the purpose  of which, as noted in the statement, is to participate in the defense  of the country in the event of a military situation, and in peace -  to improve the country.

The authors of the letter report that agreement was reached with the RA Ministry of Defense to initiate reserve units subordinate to the army command, which should be  created on a voluntary basis and consist of citizens living their  daily lives.  "The purpose of the militia is to ensure a high level  of training for these people, which can be achieved through regular  training camps. During such training camps, citizens should improve  their fighting skills, and, if necessary, be prepared by their units,  in their defensive positions, as quickly and efficiently as possible  to fulfill their duty to defend the Motherland. In peace time, the  goal of the militia is to participate in all work on the arrangement  of the country where there is a need for additional human resources",  the report says.

The statement of the volunteers says that the moral and psychological  atmosphere existing in the country more and more gives importance to  rallying around such goals and values that will put on a solid  foundation the issue of security of the Fatherland.
