ArmInfo. Armenia is interested in exchanging information from the EAEU countries with Vietnam, since in this case we are talking about a rapidly developing market. Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia David Ananyan announced this during the hearings in the commission on regional and Eurasian integration of the National Assembly of Armenia on November 25. He presented the draft protocol on the exchange of information between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and Vietnam.
As David Ananyan noted, in July 2016 an agreement was signed between the EAEU and Vietnam, one of the points of which concerned the exchange of customs information on the mixing of goods and vehicles. At the same time, it was planned to exchange information in three stages - until October 5, 2018, until October 5, 2019, and until October 5, 2021. However, taking into account the fact that Armenia has not carried out all the procedures related to the ratification of the protocol, information exchange is still not carried out. The document also contains three additions that relate to the parameters, content and group of goods for which information is to be exchanged. The protocol strictly regulates information that is secret in nature. It can be provided exclusively to the customs authorities of the EAEU countries without the right to transfer to third parties. At the same time, the Eurasian Economic Commission will carry out the exchange of information within four hours after its receipt, which will significantly increase the efficiency in decision-making. For Armenia, as the head of the SRC noted, the presence of such a document is very important, which eliminates the temptation to supply products from other countries. David Ananyan noted that mainly clothes are delivered from Vietnam to Armenia, and alcohol is exported in the opposite direction.
To recall, on July 28 in Brussels (Belgium), the heads of customs services of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam signed a Protocol on the implementation of information exchange.
