Marukyan: In Zagreb, Serzh Sargsyan visually presented everything  that he did with Armenia

ArmInfo. During his speech at the congress of the European People's Party in Zagreb, the third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan clearly presented everything that  he had done with Armenia. This was stated by deputy of the Armenian  parliament Edmon Marukyan at a press conference on November 25.

Recall that in his speech Sargsyan stated the following: <The  foundations of constitutionality are undermined. The principle of  separation and balance of powers does not apply, the independence of  the judiciary is violated, political persecution is ongoing. Violence  against opposition media and activists has become regular,  intolerance and hate speech have reached alarming proportions.>

Marukyan noted that all the points voiced by the ex-president relate  to the past authorities, who are responsible for the current  imbalance in the Constitution of Armenia. <They are the authors of  this Constitution. Sargsyan came up with the idea of "super prime"  for himself, however, due to circumstances known to all of us, he  could not enjoy it. Thus, in Zagreb, Sargsyan visually presented  everything that he did with Armenia, after the fact-after criticizing  his own deeds,> Marukyan emphasized.

<The current authorities can be criticized from the position that  today this system of "super prime" has not been changed. I hope that  the Commission on Constitutional Reforms, which will be created in  2020, will completely review this system, and also bring the  Constitution to balance>, he said.
