ArmInfo. The peace plan for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should include the right of all internally displaced persons and refugees to return to their places of former residence.
This was announced on November 21 during a weekly briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, answering a question regarding the statement of Sergey Lavrov in Yerevan that without the population of Nagorno-Karabakh it is impossible to reach a final settlement of the Karabakh conflict and clarifying whether the wording "refugees and forced migrants " relates to Azerbaijanis.
Speaking generally about the peace process, Zakharova noted that, of course, this question should be addressed to the parties to the conflict, which should determine and agree on the composition of the participants. "Now the negotiation process is being conducted, as you know, at the level of the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, and if appropriate agreements or any agreements between two capitals, two states are reached, we, for our part, will support these agreements. All the agreements that will be reached between two states, "the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry summed up.
