ArmInfo. The head of the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia Georgy Avetisyan received the representatives of the National Research Institute of Nutrition and Fermentation of the People's Republic of China.
The meeting was held as part of a seminar on "Research on the production of food, control and quarantine of imported and exported food products", which is being held for the first time in Armenia with the assistance of the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Armenia.
According to the press service of the Inspectorate, Avetisyan praised the holding of such a seminar in Armenia, expressing the hope that the lectures will contribute to enhancing trade relations between the countries.
Luo Yangqing, assistant director of the State Research Institute of Nutrition and Fermentation of the People's Republic of China, in turn, noted that Chinese experts will familiarize the seminar participants with the PRC legislation on food safety, export and import procedures. Practical classes and a laboratory workshop are also planned.
According to the source, the seminar will last 20 days, 60 people participate in it - inspectors of the Inspectorate, students of the Agrarian University, employees of various laboratories, as well as manufacturers who plan to export their products to China in the future.
