ArmInfo. On November 20, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia discussed the facilitation of visa issuance procedures with Denmark.
According to Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts, the document was signed on March 14, 2018. Its purpose is to simplify the issuance of visas for Armenian citizens to stay in Denmark and other countries of the Schengen zone for a period of not more than 90 days for each period of 180 days. The agreement lists documents whose presence is sufficient to confirm the purpose of the trip to Denmark for certain categories of citizens of Armenia. At the same time, diplomats will receive the right to visit Denmark without visas. Simplified visa issuance procedures apply to the closest relatives of Danish citizens or Armenian citizens legally residing in this country, members of official delegations, journalists, participants in international exhibitions, forums, scientific conferences, and international sports events. This also applies to citizens visiting Denmark for treatment, study, business. At the same time, the cost of a visa for citizens of Armenia from 60 euros will be reduced to 30 euros. In addition, it is envisaged to use long-term visa instruments for a period of 5 years. The vote on the draft agreement is expected to take place on November 20.
