ArmInfo. The structures reporting to the Prime Minister of Armenia will have the opportunity to hold public hearings on draft laws and legal decisions. The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia at the meeting on November 19 in the first reading introduced amendments and additions to the law "On Normative Legal Acts".
Introducing the draft decision, RA First Deputy Minister of Justice Rafik Grigoryan noted that currently the bodies accountable to the head of government are not entitled to hold public hearings. They address this right to other authorized government agencies, which leads to a drag on time and an increase in workflow. With the adoption of the law, the terms of consideration of regulatory legal acts, including through public hearings, will be significantly reduced, and document flow will be reduced. In addition, structures reporting to the Prime Minister (Police, SNB, Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, etc.) will be able to come up with legislative initiatives.
