The expert noted that the blocking of the vote in the upper house of the US Congress on the draft resolution on the Armenian Genocide was expected, calling it a coincidence that Trump and Erdogan attended one of Senators Lindsey Graham, close to Trump's circle, who vetoed the resolution on recognition of the Armenian Genocide Senate.

Touching upon Erdogan's speech at a religious center in Maryland, Safrastyan stated that the Turkish leader insolently not only distorted the fact of the Genocide, but also falsified the history of the Armenian people.
