ArmInfo.On November 13, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Armenia Michael Johannes Banzhaf.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister's Office, Tigran Avinyan emphasized that Germany is one of the important partners of Armenia, and over the past year and a half the relations have undergone serious development, which was greatly facilitated by the mutual visits of senior officials and the agreements reached as a result.
At the Ambassador's request, the Deputy Prime Minister presented the priorities for the development of the Armenian economy and the process of reforms being carried out in the country.
Tigran Avinyan also touched upon the mining industry, noting that increasing transparency and accountability of the sector is one of the important goals of the government.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the trade and economic sector, high technology, tourism, scientific, educational and territorial management. Tigran Avinyan noted that the Armenian government pays great attention to the development of information technologies and, in particular, to stimulating the field of artificial intelligence. In this context, he noted the importance of implementing possible joint programs with Germany.
