ArmInfo.Criminal cases against some generals keep our high command on their toes. Head of the RA Ministry of Defense David Tonoyan stated this to journalists on November 4.
The minister also commented on yesterday's statement by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that many blame the current government for allegedly weakening the generalship in connection with a number of criminal cases against several generals.
<There is no way that Pashinyan discredited the generals with his corruption investigations. These are low- level conversations, which then reach the premiere. As a result, he gives the impression that the general has discontent. Maybe there are generals who have similar concerns, but I don't think that what has been done over the past 1.5 years should cause discontent among the generals. Of course, the criminal cases brought against some generals are troubling, but, as I believe, this keeps our high command on their toes, "Tonoyan said.
