ArmInfo. In 2020, in Armenia, the mapping program for the constantly changing diaspora potential will begin to be applied for the first time. On October 31, during the discussions in the parliamentary commissions on the draft state budget of the Republic of Armenia in 2020, the High Commissioner for Diaspora under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Zara Sinanyan stated.
According to him, it is necessary to go a long way in working with the diaspora, and the office of the High Commissioner, which has been operating for 4.5 months, is called upon to carry out this work. Basically, Sinanyan continued, the work will unfold in two main areas - the interaction of the RA with the diaspora and the involvement of the potential of the diaspora in the development of the historical homeland. A total of AMD 775 million will be allocated for both programs. The largest program is the interaction of the Republic of Armenia with the Diaspora worth 450 million drams. It envisages the implementation of six programs, one of which is the Step Home program. It aims to enhance the repatriation process. Work in this direction, the Commissioner continued, must begin with the youth of the diaspora. 145 million drams will be directed to solve this problem. It is expected that in 2020 the republic will be visited by about 800 young people aged 12 to 20 years who will hold camp camps in Armenia and Artsakh.
An important place in the work of the office will be taken by the retraining program for teachers of Armenian schools abroad. In addition to retraining courses, teachers will visit the sights of the country, hold meetings with famous figures of science, culture, and art. The duration of the courses will be 2 weeks. As expected, in 2020 their total number of participants will be 40 people, and the amount of funding for this program will be equal to 25 million drams.
For the first time, the program "Practice of Public Policy" will begin to be applied, which, in essence, means the return of minds and their involvement in the socio-economic and social life of the republic. It is envisaged that next year Armenia will host about 20 highly qualified young specialists, which will be directed to 90 , 2 million drams.
Another program concerns the notification of diaspora representatives about the processes and conditions for repatriation taking place in Armenia. It is planned to develop and implement 120 television and radio broadcasts using space communication systems, the Internet and social networks. 60 million drams will be allocated for the implementation of the project. Another 10 million drams will be provided by the Armenian media in Georgia.
As for the program of involving the potential of the diaspora in the development of the historical homeland, as Sinanyan noted, for these purposes 325 million drams are planned to be sent. Work in this direction will mainly be aimed at mapping the potential of the diaspora, and the possibility of its application at home.
