ArmInfo. The peacekeeping units of the Armenian Armed Forces on the IL-76 military transport aircraft left for Dushanbe to participate in the exercises [CSTO "Indestructible Brotherhood-2019". This was reported by the press service of the RA Ministry of Defense.
As ArmInfo reported today, in accordance with the Plan for joint training of command and control bodies and forces of the collective security system of the Collective Security Treaty Organization for 2019, today, October 21 in the Republic of Tajikistan launched joint exercises with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian region and the peacekeeping forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Rubezh- 2019 and Indestructible Brotherhood-2019 as part of the joint operational-strategic exercise "Combat Brotherhood-2019", which will last until October 29.
In the joint exercise "Frontier-2019" and "Indestructible Brotherhood-2019", military contingents and formations of police forces, taken out of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian region and the CSTO peacekeeping forces, are taking part. At the same time, representatives of regional organizations of the ICRC, military attaches accredited in the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as representatives of veteran organizations, authorities and local self-government are planning to participate in the final phase.
CSTO Deputy Secretary General Pyotr Tikhonovsky, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, Secretariat representatives and members of the CSTO Joint Staff, will attend the training.
Taking into account the prevailing practice of conducting joint exercises in the CSTO format, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Army were invited and will take part as observers at the final stage of the joint exercise "Unbreakable Brotherhood-2019".
The exercise is planned to be held at the Khybmardon training ground under the leadership of the Deputy Commander of the Central Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (hereinafter - the Central Military District of the RF Armed Forces), Lieutenant General Yuri Petrov.
