ArmInfo. MP from My Step faction Viktor Yengibaryan called on foreign partners to draw conclusions from the anti-Russian statements of Azerbaijan.
At a press conference on October 21, he pointed out that during the 65th session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in London, one of the Azerbaijani delegates openly declared that Russia is an authoritarian state that is increasing its armament, moving forward in undemocratic ways. "This statement is worthy of attention," Yengibaryan emphasized.
The deputy also informed that during the 65th session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, foreign delegates actively raised issues related to the development of China's economy and industry, as well as further China-Russia interaction. Yengibaryan noted that such discussions are strategically important for Armenia. He cited Iran as an example, the sanctions against which affect neighboring states, including Armenia.
<NATO, like the EU, is a consequence of globalization after World War II. However, today geopolitical thinking is changing in the world, and there are serious factors that point to this. Liberal democracy, let's say, is giving way to the doctrines of national values and patriotism, which will undoubtedly have an impact on our region and directly on Armenia>, he noted.
