ArmInfo.Police officer Armen Hakobyan, injured on the night of October 16 in Yerevan while detaining criminals, was discharged from the medical center Grigor Lusavorich.
According to the message received by ArmInfo, Armen Hakobyan feels fine. "Remembering his dead partner Tigran Arakelyan, Armen said that on the day of his death, he talked about the transience of life, comparing it with the life of a butterfly, and gave him advice to appreciate everything that he has and love people," the message received by ArmInfo said.
To recall, on October 16, at around 04:30 am local time, the employees of the Arabkir police department noticed two people during the night watch at Victory Park. The latter, seeing a police car, rushed to the race, but were caught by police on Azatutyan Avenue. After being detained, they had resisted. One of the detainees managed to take his service weapon from the policeman and shoot him, as well as hit the second law enforcement officer with the butt. Then they left the scene of the crime. As a result of the incident, 38- year-old policeman Tigran Arakelyan died. Murder suspects are blood brothers; they are both arrested. One of the suspects is a minor. A criminal case has been instituted on the fact of part 1 of article 238 of the RA Criminal Code, part 2 of article 316 of the RA Criminal Code and clause 2 of part 2 of Article 104 of the RA Criminal Code.
