The head of the parliamentary defense and security commission, MP from the My Step bloc, Andranik Kocharyan, during the commission's meeting, said that on October 17 at 14:00 the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Armenia Arshak Karapetyan will be invited to the commission to investigate the events of the April war.
It should be noted that during the April war of 2016 Arshak Karapetyan held the post of head of the intelligence department of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces. Almost immediately after the suspension of the hostilities phase in April 2016, the latter was removed from office.
However, after a year and a half, Karapetyan was appointed to the post of military attache at the Armenian Embassy in Russia. After the 2018 revolution, he was appointed adviser to the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.
