ArmInfo. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group from Russia Igor Popov spoke about the results of the co-chairs' visit to the region.
According to Trend, Popov said that the visit of the co-chairs to the region ends today: <The day before yesterday we were in Yerevan, where we met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Defense of Armenia. Today, a meeting was held with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and a meeting is being held with the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh. At the meetings, we discussed the situation related to the negotiation process, and listened to the parties. We also discussed the results of the negotiations held between the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia in Ashgabat. We believe that the results are not bad>.
Popov also touched on the issue of organizing meetings at the ministerial level: "We are planning to continue organizing meetings at the level of foreign ministers. They can be organized as part of international events. In December, a meeting of foreign ministers of the OSCE member states will be held, and if the parties so wish, we can organize a meeting>.
It should be noted that in Yerevan the Minsk mediators met with the Armenian Foreign Minister and the Prime Minister, there was no information about the meeting with the Armenian Minister of Defense. Also, the mediators traveled to Artsakh, where they met with the President of Nagorno-Karabakh, Bako Sahakyan.
