ArmInfo. A Group of friendship with Artsakh may be formed in Iraq. This was announced by the head of the central office of "Hay Dat" and on political issues of the ARF, Kiro Manoyan at a press conference on October 15.
Presenting the results of the Artsakh Friends Forum held earlier in Stepanakert, Manoyan informed that about 150 representatives from 30 countries of the world attended the event. According to him, delegations from France and Belgium were represented in the most expanded format. In addition, the countries of Latin America (Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and others) showed active participation. He attached great importance to the participation of Iraqi representatives in the event. At the same time, Manoyan did not exclude the possibility of creating a friendship group with Artsakh in Iraq.
Manoyan emphasized that the right of the Artsakh people to self-determination was not in doubt among all the participants in the Forum. "Some participants in the event visited the contact line," he said. Forum participants had the opportunity to meet with the President of Artsakh, the Foreign Minister, as well as representatives of the parliament.
An important factor was the participation in the Forum of representatives of foreign media, including from Spain, France and Canada, who then presented their materials following the results of the event.
Speaking about the reaction of Azerbaijan, Manoyan did not exclude the possibility that the participants of the Forum who made reports would subsequently be included in the so-called "black list". However, according to him, this prospect does not scare them. "The representative of Canada admitted to me that he was even proud to be on this black list," he said.
So far, Azerbaijan has shown restraint, and does not give harsh assessments regarding the Artsakh Friends Forum. According to Manoyan, this may be due to his unwillingness to spoil relations with such an impressive number of foreign delegates.
Representatives of parliamentary groups and friendship circles, as well as political and non-governmental organizations, in particular, attended the Artsakh Friends Forum. The co-organizers of the event were Artsakh Foreign Ministry and ARF "Dashnaktsutyun".
