Analyst: The Azerbaijani side constantly uses any platforms in order  to denigrate Armenia and Artsakh

ArmInfo. The Azerbaijani side constantly uses any platforms in order to denigrate Armenia and Artsakh. This was announced at a press conference on October 14 by  the head of the analytical center Modus Vivendi Ara Papyan.

Speaking about Aliyev's statement about Garegin Nzhdeh, the expert  expressed the opinion that the President of Azerbaijan, taking into  account the negative statements of Russian representatives about the  role of Nzhdeh, decided to take advantage of the situation and  introduce the followers of fascism to Armenians. "Representatives of  Artsakh during the war with fascist Germany gave much more heroes  than representatives of Azerbaijan. He tried to use this fact for his  own purposes but Nikol Pashinyan was very restrained and at the same  time answered him strongly," the expert emphasized.

It should be noted that on October 11, at a meeting of the Council of  CIS Heads of State in Ashgabat, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev  announced the inadmissibility of the establishment of a monument to  Garegin Nzhdeh in Yerevan. The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol  Pashinyan answered him, saying that listening to Aliyev's speech, it  seems that the leader of the Second World War was Nzhdeh, and Hitler  was just a minor figure.

The Prime Minister of Armenia noted that the truth is that Nzhdeh  fought against the Turkish occupation of Armenia, against the  Armenian Genocide, which was organized by the Turks and the reality  is that Nzhdeh, with so many Russian officers in 1918, led a very  important section of the front during the Armenian- Turkish war. The  Prime Minister of Armenia considered it inappropriate to use this  format of the meeting in order to distort history, to add tension to  the atmosphere of this important meeting.
